Petra Christian University is a major private Christian university in Surabaya, Indonesia, established in 1961. It has about 9,900 students and 7 faculties. The university is located in the southern part of the city of Surabaya—the second largest city in Indonesia. The address is on Jalan Siwalankerto 131-136, Surabaya (click here for the google map). It is approximately 20 minutes from Juanda Airport.

Juanda Airport

Surabaya’s Juanda Airport (IATA: SUB) is the second busiest airport in the country after Jakarta’s Soekarno-Hatta, with very frequent flights to Jakarta and other major Indonesian destinations, as well as some direct international flights to destinations including Singapore, Kuala Lumpur, Penang, Bangkok, Hong Kong, Taipei, Guangzhou, Tokyo and Bandar Seri Begawan. It has two terminals. Terminal One is for domestic flights meanwhile Terminal Two is for International Flights. There are some domestic flights also in Terminal two specially flights by Garuda and Air Asia.

Upon your arrival at the airport, you can take airport taxi to Petra Christian University. There are several taxi companies who are allowed to operate in the Juanda Airport. The sales person of the companies will stand in line near the exit door after baggage collection point. You should buy the ticket first before you can jump aboard any taxi unit.

Go to the taxi booth to order a taxi. Usually the booth(s) are located at the airport exits.
Mention Petra Christian University (Universitas Kristen Petra in Indonesian), which is located on Siwalankerto street, as your drop off point.
After you pay the taxi-fares. you will be given a ticket/voucher.
Find the taxi stand at the airport area and give the officer or the driver the ticket/voucher.
The driver will drop you off at the location written on the ticket/voucher.

Bungurasih (Purabaya) Bus Station, Pasar Turi Station, Gubeng Station

You can take taxi, bus or bemo/angkot to Siwalankerto. Please contact officers of the bus / train stations to get more information.

Getting Around

Surabaya has air-con metered taxis charging 5,500 IDR for the first kilometre and 4,000 IDR for subsequent kilometres. Reliable Bluebird taxis (031-3721234) and Orenz taxis (031-8799999) can be called in advance. Ask your hotel staff to help you if you wish to hire cars with drivers. Rates start at 600,000 IDR per day plus petrol.
